When you’re facing a claim situation, it can seem overwhelming at first. Here is some information to help you through the process.

I have an emergency claim to report and my broker's office is closed. What should I do?

Who monitors your After-Hours Emergency Claims Service Line? Will my broker know that I've reported a claim?

Absolutely! Our After-Hours Emergency Line is monitored 24/7 365 days a year by Unica’s Director of Claims and Property Technical Claims Specialist, who are advised immediately of every property claim reported. Your broker is advised of any claim reported the following business day, including automobile losses.

How long will I have to wait to talk to a claims adjuster?

Your claim starts the moment you call, not hours or days later. In the case of a property claim, our After-Hours Emergency Claims Service will assign a claims adjuster immediately and dispatch one of our preferred contractors. In most cases, the adjuster or contractor will contact you within half an hour. The adjuster will provide an update to Unica within 30 minutes of attending your property. We will always know what the status of your claim is.

Do we choose our own shop or contractor for repairs?

You always have the right to choose, but we suggest that you don’t arrange your own repairs or contact your own service provider. Our After-Hours adjuster will dispatch one of our Guaranteed Repair Program partners. Our trusted partners have been selected for the program after undergoing a rigorous review process to ensure that Unica customers only receive excellent service, quality and professionalism.
